Hybrid® is a leading-edge design from balustrade specialists, Balconette. It offers the elegant open views of frameless glass combined with the cost and ease of installation of older post-supported designs – minimal posts, no corner posts, and no ugly glass clamps.
Two types of handrail designs are available – Orbit and Aerofoil – and can be used in glass runs of up to 4 metres without the need for vertical supports. There’s no need for corner posts either – in fact, where the balustrade turns a corner or is curved, the post-less span can be even longer.

Once your balustrade is installed and looking beautiful, you’ll want to ensure it stays looking that way.
Our balustrades come with a 10-year guarantee on the finishes – even for those installed in coastal areas. The anodised or powder-coated aluminium components will not rust, and the glass is virtually maintenance free – it just needs washing with water.
All balustrades are building regulations compliant and our technical team will work with you to produce detailed drawings for sign-off before manufacturing.

Our balustrades are available in a range of different styles designed to suit your space, requirements, and budget. Choose from Hybrid®, frameless, or semi-frameless designs.
Hybrid® styles sit between traditional post-supported balustrades and frameless systems, with minimal upright posts and no corner posts required.
Semi-frameless and frameless designs use no supporting posts at all. These systems use thicker toughened or laminated glass panels – often referred to as structural glass – either surface-mounted on the floor or recessed below floor level.
Semi-frameless styles include a small handrail, while fully frameless styles are pure glass.
